Brazilian sugar exports grow fast in July

According to the data of Ministério da Economia, the Brazilian exports of sugar registered in July a growth of 91% compared to last year’s same month. While in 2019 Brazil exported 1,8 million tons in July, last month the country shipped 3,4 million tons of sugar.

In the matters of value, the growth represented 83% in the same comparison. Although the value of the trade has increased substantially, it is due to the increase of the volume of sugar sales, once the price of the product dropped from US$ 289,9 July last year to US$ 276,5.

In the meanwhile, with the drop of prices, the Australia, Asia and Africa markets increased their market shares on the imports of Brazilian Sugar 3,867%, 131% and 86,7% respectively.
